After our takeover last week, we’re happy to report that things were back to normal at Imgur HQ. The past 7 days have been full of discovery. We learned how a clam buries itself, that a gecko can eat itself, and that a dog only needs a small amount of time to make a big mess. In case you were out enjoying the April weather, we’re here to catch you up.
In case you missed it…
1. We sadly said goodbye to RonRon, one of the Internet’s most beloved and famous foxes.
RonRon was one of the more famous foxes the internet had to offer. he passed away today. Not my content but I followed his videos closely and loved this little fellow.Taken from source page:"Our dearest RonRon passed away early this morning, peacefully, in his sleep, as he was curled up in a cute foxball… He was nearly 8 years old."Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IrjFUzV26EEdit: Show your love and support for his own on the youtube source page friends. I can't imagine how heart broken RonRons family is, I am sure the love and support will help a little at least. I've wanted to get a popular post for a year now but I hoped it would be over something more cheerful.

5. In the world of creativity, we discovered some new pieces of art. Firstly, this amazing piece created using only fabric.

Secondly, this beautiful photo manipulation.
“Impact” is the latest photo manipulation by artist and photographer Erik Johansson (featured previously). On Behance, Erik says he has been working on this image for the last few months and it actually involved him purchasing, breaking and photographing 17 square meters of mirror! For the shoot, the mirrors were transported to a stone pit along with a boat and model. He then manipulated the resulting photo into the result you see above. For those interested, Erik will be releasing a behind-the-scenes video on YouTube this week explaining how he created the final image.
Thirdly, a piece made by our own community. Remember this post? Imgurian IDontEatFruit turned it onto a real animation! It was their first real project in blender and took 100+ hours.

6. An Imgurian shared a truly heartfelt goodbye for their best friend and childhood pet Missy. Warning: while you read this, someone may start cutting onions nearby.
Screw fake internet points: This is Missy!
7. Other members of the Imgur community also shared some personal stories this week. We heard from an Imgurian who has secretly lived out of their SUV for over a year.

And another who asked an Imgurian to create a special image of their boyfriend.
